Certification Requirements for Electric Scooters and Motorcycles

FMVSS Certification Label

  • обязательный ярлык производителя о соответствии Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.

HS-7 Declaration Form

  • форма для DOT (Department of Transportation), указывает статус ТС:
  1. Box 2A: соответствует FMVSS.
  2. Box 3: не соответствует — нужен Registered Importer.
  3. Box 8: если low-speed или off-road.

EPA Form 3520-1

  • экологическая декларация (даже для электротранспорта нужно заполнить, но часто с пометкой «Electric Vehicle»).

Battery Certificates

  • UN 38.3 — сертификация безопасной перевозки литий-ионных батарей.
